ENCOUNTER OF
PASSION AND SKILLS

12 carefully selected competitors and 4 experienced judges. One cube with 6 latte art patterns and a tense one-on-one fight. In the final round, the top three will battle it out creating a pattern of their own choice. And in addition to the creation itself, this round will also evaluate its aesthetic appeal, the quality of the drink, its execution techniques and presentation skills.

Domagoj Trusić

Hug&Punch

Domagoj acts as an authorized trainer of the Specialty coffee assn. since 2008. For the past 6 years, he has been operating through the SCA Premier training campus Hug&Punch.
Through several expert papers and meetings, Domagoj wants to bring the specialty scene closer to Croats. Through the organization of competitions and workshops, he gathers baristas and promotes excellence in coffee.

In an international environment, he volunteers at all SCA world competitions and as the only authorized trainer in the region for all modules of education, opens possibilities of specialization up to professional level for all those interested in all topics of coffee with an international certificate: green coffee, sensory, roasting, barista and coffee brewing.

Zoran Trkulja

Franck

Zoran obtained the title of barista trainer back in 2008 at the Mokarabia training center in Bologna, after studying at the PERAL barista school and the Università Del Caffè Illy in Trieste. Since 2013, he has been working as a barista trainer at Franck, where he also continues his education according to SCA criteria and obtains a certificate that today represents the most respected standard in the coffee industry worldwide.
In his career, he achieved numerous achievements and won prestigious awards. As a competitor according to the rules of the prestigious World Barista Championship in 2008, he won silver, a year later bronze, while in 2010 he won silver again. As a sensory judge and one of the organizers in the period from 2011 to 2013, he participated in the Croatian Barista Challenge (CBC), and he also collaborated with SCA leaders: Sonja Grant, Luigi Lupi and Colin Smith.

Today, for the sixth year in a row, Zoran is one of the founders and judges of the Sarajevo Latte Art Challenge, the leading Latte Art competition in the region, and in 2019 he was also certified as a technical judge at AEHTA - the largest European catering competition.

Ivan Životić

Ivan has been in the coffee industry for 25 years, the last 15 of which at Nestlé, where he currently holds the position of Coffee expert & Business developer for the Adriatic region.
In addition to knowledge and education about coffee, Ivan has extensive experience working on various projects related to coffee, experience in the commercial sector, market developments, leading commercial teams, etc.
In the SCA education model, out of 16 possible courses, he has completed 13 courses, in total education he won over 100 points and on that basis obtained the SCA overall coffee skills diploma. He selflessly shares his passion and knowledge, and behind him he has completed 1000 trainings and educations for almost 3000 people.

Laith Hardy

Laith's journey in the world of coffee has been marked by a deep passion for the craft and a commitment to excellence. He acquired his SCA education at the Espresso Academy in Italy, a renowned international institution known for its commitment to coffee education and nurturing top talent in the industry.
Under the guidance of mentor Simoni Celli, a respected international Black Jug judge known for his expertise in judging latte art, he had the privilege of learning from the best in the business.
Along with an enviable education, Laith's professional experience includes project management roles where attention to detail and precise planning were most important. Thanks to such experience, he has perfected the ability to observe, analyze and provide constructive feedback with precision and accuracy.
As a judge, he is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the competition and providing valuable insights to the participants.
