\nAbout the Workshop Leaders:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Lea Popinja\u010d, a painter and educator, was born in 1981 in Zagreb. She graduated from the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Textile Technology in 2003 and pursued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, where she graduated in 2012 under the mentorship of Prof. Zlatan Vrkljan. After completing her undergraduate and graduate studies, she worked for eight years as an art teacher at Gornjogradska High School in Zagreb. Since 2014, she has been collaborating as an external associate at the Faculty of Textile Technology and is currently employed as an assistant professor specializing in textile art and design. Alongside her academic work, she consistently paints and exhibits in solo and group exhibitions and participates in artistic residencies and symposiums both domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n
Petra Krpan completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile Technology, and earned her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb. Her dissertation, Contemporary Fashion as an Event: New Media and the Transformation of the Body,<\/em> focused on art science. She is an assistant professor at the Department of Textile and Clothing Design at the Faculty of Textile Technology, where she teaches courses including Fashion Theory I, Sociology of Fashion, New Media and Fashion, Fashion Performativity, and Textile and Clothing Ethnology. Her research interests lie in the theory and history of fashion, the theory and history of photography, and the theory of performing arts. She is an active member of ULUPUH (Croatian Association of Artists of Applied Arts), Textile Section, and has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Croatia and abroad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
